On February, 2022, Dr. Woojin Jung's research team established a memorandum of understanding between Rutgers University and the the Institut Geographique National (IGN) in the Republic of the Congo. The Congo’s government agency will provide geospatial data on the cities of Brazzaville and Pointe-Noire, including administrative boundaries, road networks, and waterways. This is one of few data-sharing agreements between Rutgers University with an African government.
